"It's the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary" - Paulo Coelho
To-do lists, emails, phone calls, piles of paper, people to meet, places to go and the list goes on...
We think that we need to do it all because that's the way of life.
The family in the photo on top is sadly most of us right? Be honest! Dad is tuning into a show for family time, as the mom is on her laptop and the kids are on their cell phones!
We miss out on so many opportunities everyday because we are doing more.
Think about your week starting today, make a plan to do LESS.
What does doing less mean? What does doing less look like?
Take a look at the family (70's style). This family is doing less more meaningfully. They are playing a simple board game. Take note that they are "engaging" with each other. Making conversation, laughing and having fun! Sounds pretty simple to me.
I can remember being the age of the girl in the photo. Every Sunday my family would go across the street to Aunt Lena's house and bring our pennies. We'd sit around the table and play Po-keno ( a card game). To this day, my fond memories inspire me to do things that are meaningful to me. Because doing less is the new more!
